Behavioural and Experimental Northeast Cluster
Welcome to BENC
The Behavioural and Experimental Northeast Cluster (BENC) is a joint initiative of Durham University Business School and Newcastle University Business School. BENC is a research cluster promoting and facilitating experimental and behavioural research in the domains of academia, policy and business, and promotes the international visibility of Northeast England as leader in these areas. The broad measures we seek to excel in include publications in leading academic journals, successful funding initiatives and grant applications, the training of PhD students, and the inclusion of undergraduate and graduate students in research. In addition, BENC help identify and support a critical mass of expertise under one visible banner, greatly increasing the potential impactful outreach within the public and private sectors.
Through this website you can learn about many of BENC's activities and resources. BENC has two state of the art facilities, one in the Newcastle University Business School and one at the Queen's campus of Durham University.
