Special Issue of the Journal of Risk and Uncertainty

A Special Issue of the Journal of Risk and Uncertainty has recently been published "In Honor of Michael W. Jones-Lee's Contribution to the Economics of Safety and Physical Risk". The papers arose directly out of a one-and-a-half day conference and workshop held at Newcastle University Business School in April 2014 which was attended by Mike's close friends, peers and colleagues, both national and international. Mike has and continues to be a pioneer and international expert on the economics of safety policy and risk, publishing seminal theoretical and empirical works on the monetary valuation of mortality and morbidity risk reductions for use in national and international policymaking.
